2014 Teye La Lama E Series Blackburst + Jimmy Wallace Select Top
Teye guitars are individual works of art and this example is certainly no exception. Teye guitars are completely original & individual designs they feature some of the most innovative electronics to ever be installed into an electric guitar.
The thickness of the neck measures .830 at the first fret and .960 at the 12th. Teye guitars are All-hand-made in Austin Texas. La Llama means “The flame” in Spanish, very fitting given that the timber for the top was hand selected by Jimmy Wallace, he knows a thing or two about guitars tops.
The guitar features the unique Teye dark Shipwreck Hand-rubbed Oil finish on the back and neck, two Gold Jason Lollar custom-wind pickups, Gold Grover deluxe imperial Rotomatics, 24 fret bound ebony 25.5″ scale fingerboard with the Teye Bedouin mother-of-pearl inlay on a select Mahogany neck and Laser-engraved headstock plate. The guitar also features Teye’s proprietary circuitry, with 2x Volume, Tone, and Mood knobs . Teye adds a Mood knob, which controls a proprietary circuit that leans toward a single-coil sound, as you roll it off, you can hear a less-bassy sound emerge that emulates Fender-ish tones.
All in all a stunningly designed & built guitar & very practical weighing in at only 8 lbs. 11 oz.
