2002 Gibson Flying V Owned by Matthew & Gunnar Nelson “Nelson” & “Scrap Metal”
Custom 2002 Gibson flying V, bought from Norm Harris at Norm’s Rare Guitars, CA by Matthew Nelson & played by his brother Gunnar Nelson in the bands “Nelson” & ‘Scrap Metal”.
Metthew & Gunnar are the sons of the late great Ricky Nelson. The brothers have enjoyed considerable success with live and recorded work. They also wrote and performed the theme song for “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure”.
The guitar is in excellent condition. It was originally owned by an LA based artist who wishes to remain anonymous. It has an ebony fingerboard with unique inlays, a ’58 Gibson logo, hand wound Seymour Duncan pickups, it is incredibly light, perfectly set up & sounds superb. Complete with glossy 10″ X 8″ hand-signed photograph and an A4 hand written letter from Matthew which details the history of the guitar.
A totally unique gig-able guitar and a superb piece of Rock n Roll memorabilia.
