2004 Fender Custom Shop Moneycaster Strat Jason Davis
Totally unique one only build for the moneycaster, built by Fender master-builder Jason Davis in 2004.
The guitar has been played but is in excellent original condition. Serial number is JD534, and you will find Jason’s signature on the rear of the headstock with the SN and Custom Shop logo. The guitar is covered with $100 bills in “Uncle Sam” green, all of the metal work is gold plated and is in excellent condition.
The pickup arrangement is one humbucker in the neck along with two X single coils in the middle and bridge position, all three pickups are wired to a master volume, each pickup has a on-off micro-switch meaning that literally any option of pickup combinations is possible.
The guitar is featured in the Guitar Player magazine from Jan 2004 in an article titled “50 Years of Fender Strats”, complete with original tweed case and certificate and all accessories.

Update: Sept, 2012
We received an email from Jason, called him and had a very positive conversation about his career and this guitar in-particular. He remembers it very fondly with regard to the free spirit and creative hotbed that was the Fender Custom Shop under the management of John Page back in the day. This guitar was certainly a one only run and it was conceived and built by Jason from start to finish! The neck inlays are actually 14k gold, the inlay work was commissioned out to Ron Thorn http://www.thornguitars.com/
When we sell this guitar it will be set up and serviced top to bottom by Jason, and he is happy to correspond with the new owner! As good as it gets!!
